Love One Another On our wedding day we made a promise
To love one another forever
This symbol reminds us of that vow
and why Jesus brought us togetherThe heart stands for our love
Which time has never broken
From it we find the strength to forgive
When angry words are spokenThe entwining rings show how
Our two lives are joined into one
And how dependent we are on each other
For understanding and compassionThe cross is a sign of our faith
In the Lord who blesses us each day
It is He who enriches our marriage
in every possible wayAnd so we will renew our vows
Ten times a day to each other
As we follow the greatest command of all:
That we love one another"This is my commandment: love one another as I have loved you." A Marriage Prayer Lord,
Help us to remember when we first met
and the strong love that grew between us.
To work that love into practical things
so nothing can divide us.We ask for words both kind and loving,
and for hearts always ready to ask
forgiveness as well as to forgive.Dear Lord,
We put our marriage into Your hands.Amen
A Husband's or Wife's Daily Prayer As a husband (wife) I beseech thee,
O Triune God,
Make me cheerful,
trustful, unselfish,
thrifty, and an
affectionate companion.
If I am blessed with
Motherhood, (Fatherhood)
I ask the additional grace
of patience and
good example.
May our family be
modeled upon the
Holy FamilyAmen
